Charlie’s debut solo show Revolver premiered at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2004 and would go on to tour the Cracker Comedy Festival in Sydney and the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, where it was nominated for best international show.

The show was about the power of stories, tracing the evolution of the mythology from ancient Greece to the urban myths of today. This was topped off by his favourite story of all, how he came to be married to his kindergarten sweetheart.
